Ambulance Chasers Fund Anti-Lap Dancer
NEARLY 40% OF CANDIDATE’S CASH COMES FROM PERSONAL INJURY LAWYERS
FITSNews – April 15, 2008 – Nearly forty-percent of S.C. Rep. Scott Talley’s Senate campaign warchest comes from personal injury lawyers, according to an analysis of his campaign contributions conducted by FITSNews.
Of the $59,314 Talley raised this quarter, $22,250 came from personal injury lawyers like Kathryn Williams, one of the leading defenders of South Carolina’s antiquated, anti-business workers’ compensation system.
This influx of cash isn’t surprising when you consider that Williams and her ambulance-chasing cronies have owned the State Senate seat Talley is seeking for the past seven years. In fact, outgoing Sen. John Hawkins has pretty much turned his office into the public relations wing of the S.C. Trial Lawyers Association.
Of course, our real beef with Talley has nothing to do with the fact that his campaign is turning into one of those annoying Bill Green commercials – it’s his effort to ban lap dances in South Carolina that has us riled up. “Hands off” our right to “hands on,” dude …

sic(k) willie,
Where does your cash come from? Besides the obvious. ;) There are sources worse than his. What are your sources of cash? Sunshine!
Reliable State House sources tell us you’ve been dancing in drag at a local strip joint Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays from 5 until 7. That’s the only logical explanation for your cash flow.
BTW, how much does a lap dance cost these days? And, do you give discounts to political consultants and members of the Legislature?
Do you lap dance for Rod? How about Jake? Be careful with Jake. He might bite you unless you feed him a doggie treat.

Well of course he wants to ban lap dances. He’s obviously more of an online porn guy.

how much are the douchebags @ the state chamber paying you these days? i’d bet that Rep. Talley has voted more against that lobby over time than with them..ck your facts Otis Rawl.

the fact of the matter is that taking time out for this crap like banning lap dances, instituting voluntary drug tests for candidates and worrying about Pitchfork Ben Tillman shows how ridiculous our statehouse is. was it really that long ago that politicians had the balls to actually do something that will benefit the state in the long run.

Taking money from trial lawyers or taking money from randoms in Mount Pleasant…..it’s all about who you are associated with, I guess.
Some may not be fortunate enough to have money funneled to them through Gov. Sanford’s “groups”. Oh wait, he’s not affiliated with them. I forgot.
P.S. Why would Rep Talley go to a strip club? His wife is hot.

jenkins-
Yeah I agree with you. Why not just let the ambulance chasers, pork lovers and drunks keep running the state? I mean, we’re doing so well as it is…
Oh wait- we’re almost last in education, economic development and quality of life.
So, no big deal if lobbyists keep buying off seats as opposed to normal citizens donating to candidates.
