I think our soldiers are doing the majority of the killing in the soldiers vs. terrorists confrontation. And I think the only thing people on the right are encouraging the jihadists to do is to surrender or kill themselves.

War is a messy business. At the outset, I was against invading Iraq (I think we should have confronted Iran after toppling the Taliban), but that ship has sailed. We are in this war. The only relevant question is how to end the conflict. The most unacceptable answer (absolute surrender and leaving the country in chaos for Iran to step in) is the only one being pushed by the Democrats, who are only interested in scoring political points over Bush’s misteps from 5 years ago.
