‘DAILY SHOW’ SERVES THE WARMONGERS, SEN. LINDSEY GRAHAM
FITSNews – April 10, 2008 – As we mentioned the other day, our plan to immediately remove all U.S. troops from Iraq (editor’s note: so we could nuke the place ) wasn’t terribly well-received.
In a nutshell, people on the left apparently think we should keep encouraging radical jihadists to kill us here in America, while people on the right think we should keep encouraging radical jihadists to kill our soldiers in other countries.Â
Very few people agreed with our suggestion, which is to just nuke anybody who messes with Americans anywhere and be done with it.
Anyway, as much as we obviously don’t fall neatly into either side of the Iraq War debate, we’ve got to hand it to Comedy Central’s Daily Show for their ingeniously funny take on all this … particularly the Lindsey Graham footage at the end of this clip.

I think our soldiers are doing the majority of the killing in the soldiers vs. terrorists confrontation. And I think the only thing people on the right are encouraging the jihadists to do is to surrender or kill themselves.
War is a messy business. At the outset, I was against invading Iraq (I think we should have confronted Iran after toppling the Taliban), but that ship has sailed. We are in this war. The only relevant question is how to end the conflict. The most unacceptable answer (absolute surrender and leaving the country in chaos for Iran to step in) is the only one being pushed by the Democrats, who are only interested in scoring political points over Bush’s misteps from 5 years ago.
