They would rid us of our cultural symbols and belittle us at every opportunity. Of course, this doesn't make us unique in the world - many cultures endure similiar attacks. However, this is our own and we must defend it from those who would destroy the things we hold dear. Thank God there are people like Senator McConnell out there! Stay strong, Senator. I mean, "Heritage not hate" or "Send more Yankees they sure are delicious" are probably better slogans for Her Majesty's battle flag, and our culture owes a lot more to the British Empire than it does to a decentralized government that was around for four years.
