Sanford: State won’t comply with REAL ID
“Gov. Mark Sanford said today the state will not comply with the federal Department of Homeland Security’s standards for state-issued driver’s licenses and IDs. The decision means S.C. residents could be subjected to extra security screenings when boarding airplanes or entering federal buildings.”
Governor Mark Sanford’s Letter

DO YOU REALIZE THAT THE GOVERNOR, BY NON-COMPLIANCE WITH REAL ID WILL BE ATTRACTING CRIMINALS TO THE STATE OF SOUTH CAROLINA!
By Silence Dogood March 31, 2008 at 12:19 pm
Anon, this is a joke right? How in the hell do you square that with the fact that A. no states are currenly complying with REAL ID and B. are you saying just by virtue of the fact that we are not doing our licenses in the manner proscribed by the federal government criminal will flock here to not have to have a D.L. from another state that has a different hollogram or enters their driver’s data into another data base et cetera?

Something has to be missing. House Districts 41 (Chester & Fairfield) and 49 (York) are heavily-Democratic seats. I see GOP candidates for them but not Dems. Also, I don’t see Ronnie Cromer running for re-election to his Senate seat?
By Motoring Man March 31, 2008 at 2:36 pm
Leah Moody sans Lawrence.
By Big Daddy March 31, 2008 at 2:44 pm
Boyd Brown (D)
District 41

This is really a huge joke. Wow.
The SC Dems couldn’t even get a formitabe candidate to run againist Graham? It is pretty bad when you have a US Senator running basically uncontested and something tells me it’s not due to his overwhelming level of support.

Senate 18: Is Cromer not running again?
