So This Is Where Clemson’s Slush Fund Is Going …
NEW TIGER FOOTBALL RECRUIT HAS SOME EXPLAINING TO DO
FITSNews – March 28, 2008 – We honestly haven’t seen a wad of bills that thick since the last time we looked at the special interest stash of House Speaker Bobby Harrell, who defended Clemson University the other day for nearly tripling its tuition over the last seven years while keeping a $140 million slush fund hidden from the legislature.
We were wondering what Clemson was going to do with all that money, and according to the website Brahsome, we may now have an answer. Brahsome was just one of several websites (including FITSNews) to obtain a picture of new Clemson football recruit Kenneth Page holding a wad of “straight from the bank” twenty dollar bills.
Page, who chose Clemson over North Carolina last month, posted the image to his MySpace homepage earlier this week but apparently it ”came down about as quickly as it went up.” Which makes it not unlike Clemson’s credibility lately.
Look, people. Either this 17-year-old kid has been washing a lot of cars this month (like, several thousand of them) or Clemson just got busted paying one of its “student-athletes” under the table …

The bills on the front might be real, but the rest might be just plain paper. Young kids like to show they are gangsta’s. Flashing money is one way. It is probably just a stunt by the kid.
I hate Clem and son. But, in all fairness to them, this is probably just some kid tryin’ to roll gangsta style with a fake stash.
If not, fine by me if Clem and son get taken down. Just one less team for Tech to worry about. Go Jackets! And, by the way Clem and son, what was the score of last year’s game. Or 7 of the last 10? Damn, I hope you are not paying for that.

Hey, Scott…not that you don’t already know this, but you are a moron. Stephen Garcia didn’t have bail, because he wasn’t arrested. He paid a ticket. That’s it.
Maybe Kenneth was taking that money to Courtney Vincent’s lawyer to help him beat that DUI charge. When’s the trial date?

Maybe just quite possibly the picture was just a picture of him holding some money????? How bout all you concerned fans who live in Columbia check around and see if Kenneth Page seems like he had 20K to go blow around.
And something else from an inside tip, the pictures were never on myspace, they were on his facebook and were up their since late february… and there was two pictures not one.

I mean I’m serious Gary Busey, you all see a picture of a kid holding a bunch of money and jump to conclusions of such a negative degree. I’ve been looking around on a bunch of message boards and it looks like a bunch of Carolina fans are just angry. When Page first came on the radar all of ya’ll were gung-ho about him then when Carolina pulled his scholarship veryone was against him. But like i said before, if everyone is so sure he was given all that money instead of the story that was given, do a little snooping around on it. You all know where ACF is. Ask a bunch of his peers does Page seem like he has or had 20K to spend.

hey idiots that kid got that money from his dads bank and thought it would be cool to take a pic with it and put it on myspace but then Clemson found out and immediately took it off!! so there we did not pay him!!!!next time listen to the news ,not some stupid carolina fan on the internet who doesnt know what hes talkin about!!!!

I know Kennith and he is actualy on an academic scholarship at clemson so all yall concerned people. that wanna talk crap need to go to school yourselves and learn how to do a little better reserch
