STATE’S INCOME LEVELS FOURTH-LOWEST IN THE NATION … WHAT SAY YOU, LEADERS?

FITSNews – March 27, 2008 – Personal income levels in South Carolina are the fourth-lowest in the nation, ahead of only Arkansas, West Virginia and Mississippi, according to data released today by the U.S. Commerce Department. This bad economic news comes on the heels of data released earlier this month showing that South Carolina has the third highest unemployment rate in the nation.

Not surprisingly, our state’s competitive position has been slipping in recent years, as legislators have blown billions of dollars on government that should’ve gone back into the pockets of families and small businesses.

Since the FITS gals are up at the State House today, they’ll be asking Republican leaders Mark Sanford, Jimmy Merrill and Glenn McConnell a simple question – WTF?

Actually, they’ll be asking each of these three GOP leaders to identify three things our state can do turn these God awful numbers around, which according to our solid multiplication skills means we’ll have nine ideas to talk about. Well, unless they come up with some of the same answers, in which case we’ll have to use our solid subtraction skills.

Anyway, we look forward to bringing you our leaders’ thoughts on our sh*tty economic rankings and what we should do about them later today …

Well girls, this is what we gotta do:
1- Unionize the whole dadgum state. Everyone knows non-union,right to work states allways rank at the bottom.
2- Kick all of the illegals who work $12 hour jobs for half that amount out of our great state.
3- Dont let any retired folks live here, as their $12,000 a year incomes really make us look bad.

Solution to the Housing Crisis: Hire the guy who built that Motor Home to be in charge of moving all the new, unsold condos in Myrtle Beach to Brunswick County NC. That alone oughta raise SC up one notch in the standings.
