Sic Willie Is In Love

SARA BAREILLES CAN STAND UNDER OUR UMBRELLA … WAIT, WRONG SONG

FITSNews - March 24, 2008 - Even though we’ll always be B-52’s and Walkin’ On Sunshine gals, we do try to keep up with what the cool kids are listening to these days. Sort of like that Umbrella (ella-ella-a-a-a) girl, or the song we heard like eleventy billion times this morning on our iPod by Cali-based singer/songwriter Sara Bareilles.

From his carseat in the “way way back” Sic Willie was instantly smitten, people. He even stopped sucking his fingers long enough to scream “play it again! play it again!”

But apparently Sara’s not gonna write Sic a love song. Not cause he asked for it, or cause he needs one, or even cause he tells her its make or break in this (editor’s note: whatever “this” is ). WTF?

Of course we did play Bareilles’ incredibly catchy tune over and over again because Lord knows hearing the same song a million times in a row is infinitely preferable to watching a 33-year old man-child throwing a hissy-fit in the middle of rush hour traffic. If we can keep Sic in his carseat and hold him to two meltdowns a day, we’re making progress.
