CAREER POLITICIANS SUPPOSEDLY FIND RELIGION … RIGHT BEFORE ELECTION DEADLINE
FITSNews - March 18, 2008 - We’ve taken to calling veteran S.C. political consultant Rod Shealy’s so-called “Reform Caucus” the “Reefer Caucus.” Because quite frankly, that’s what you’d have to be smoking in order to believe that a bunch of career politicians who’ve had years to fix our state’s mess are suddenly serious about reform.
Hmmm … wonder if the fact we’re in the middle of the filing period for South Carolina’s legislative elections has anything to do with it? Or the fact that the memo establishing the sham organization clearly states that it exists “to combat both Sanford and the change environment” because “this looks to be a terrible year to be an incumbent.” Nice … it’s good to know these jokers motives are pure.
Anyway, this morning’s Beaufort Gazette has an interesting story on this fraud of an organization, which is currently led by S.C. Rep. Bill Sandifer and State Senator Ray Cleary - two gentlemen who wouldn’t know a reform if it flew up their asses, lit a fire and started singing camp songs.
