WILL THE REAL “SHADY PEOPLE” PLEASE STAND UP?

FITSNews – March 3, 2008 – Since we get like 1,000 times the hits of all the other South Carolina political websites (combined, we think), we don’t worry too much when people start hating on us. Especially if they continue to feed additional traffic to our website in the process of hating us, which (editor’s note: wait for it) helps us! Look, we’ve explained before why we kick all the other blogs’ asses, but for those of you who need a refresher, one reason is because we’ve got “balls as big as church bells.” Which is pretty amazing considering we’re girls.

Anyway, we couldn’t stifle our girlish giggles this afternoon upon discovering that one of our most vocal critics – who also happens to be a paid stooge for the world’s worst education system - is plagiarizing the name of his website. Which, come to think of it, makes him a lot like the presidential candidate he fawns over on a daily basis. In more ways than one, actually.

The website we’re referring to is called “Columbia: A Sunny Place For Shady People,” which is actually a pretty creative name. Or at least it must have been a pretty creative name five years ago when somebody else came up with it. Of course, expecting purveyors of recycled ideas to come up with something original is like expecting South Carolina’s public schools to actually start educating our kids for a change … you know, instead of trying to fake it or lying about other options.

Look, we may be arrogant, opinionated, imbalanced and uncouth, but at least we’re not f—ing unoriginal, people. Nor will we ever suggest that pouring another billion dollars down the drain of South Carolina’s ass-backward public education system is “original,” either.

Actually, I got it from Somerset Maugham, who, once upon a time, called Monaco a “sunny place for shady people.” Maybe if you read a book sometime, you would have known that, too. But, hey, sorry our public school education extends beyond the blogosphere.

By fitsnews on March 3rd, 2008 at 7:49 pm

Hard-on,

Don’t you mean some other guy read a book once and you ripped it off from him?

That’s sweet, though, really sweet. Somerset Maugham … ahhhh … just hearing it roll off our tongues makes us want to let out a nice cleansing breath and wish our worries away!

We did read a book once, too. Of course we bought it in a gas station and it had a lot of naked people in it, but there were a few words interspersed in there.

Thanks for clicking the refresh button on our website all day like a crack-addled lab rat, though. You managed to get your comment up like five minutes after we posted. Maybe one day people will follow your site like that, too.

Now, now Harden. Play nice with sic(k) willie. When you poke him like that, it makes him call you names. Next thing you know he might start kicking down doors and throwing chairs and hurting people.

By Gvie Me FITS on March 3rd, 2008 at 8:17 pm

“Balls as big as churchbells.”

-Dabney Coleman, Dragnet movie approx 1986. Outstanding. You need to get out more.

By Believe It Not (a.k.a. Sic Willie's Stalker) on March 3rd, 2008 at 8:21 pm

And, by the way sic(k) willie. If you ever do the honest thing and turn this into a porn site, you could have eleventy brazillian more hits than any other site in SC. Then yo Momma would really be proud.

But, you use shady scams to draw lonesome and unsuspecting surfers to your site. You think you’re a savvy blogger. So, how about sort out the one click wonders.

You know! Those who click to your site thinking they’re going to see T&A, or real baseball, or something useful.

If you sort them out, your hit count drops like the value of the U.S. dollar under the current administration.

Busy boy tonight. No date?? :)

By Harden Gervais on March 3rd, 2008 at 8:35 pm

Actually, it popped up on the Wordpress dashboard. We were clicking refresh on that thing constantly because of all the traffic. Anyway, thanks for the link, big boy.

By Ross Shealy on March 3rd, 2008 at 9:30 pm

Will,

By linking to my Blogger photo with the hyperlink “purveyor of recycled ideas,” I assume you are alleging that I’m affiliated with the Sunny Place blog.

I have nothing to do with that blog, and I although you’ve never come right out and said it, it’s pretty clear you are insinuating I am Harden Gervais. (And he apparently, is in no hurry to correct you.)

Just so you know, it’s not me.

I’ve enjoyed being a source of material for your blogging, from your very first post, “The Saucy Gervais S. Bridges” up until today’s misdirected post.

But I can’t in good faith take credit for that blog. It’s just not me.

If any of you “junior birdmen” political operatives had a clue as to the depths the state has and will always linger you would have called it, “The Sunset Lodge” ,instead of “Shady Oaks”.

SC, a wonderful place to visit.

Will:
So who IS this person you are talking about? Name names.
And, going back a few days – Madonna is still hot. I will be first in line for tickets to her tour. Nothing like a virgin and a material girl who rings your telephone – does that ever happen to you ? :)

I hear Corey Hutchins is one of the authors at CASPFSP.

Let the dang liberals teach kids how to read good.

By Harden Gervais on March 3rd, 2008 at 11:49 pm

Sorry, Ross, I never meant to make you have to say that.

Ross Shealy has nothing to do with our Web site, but this wouldn’t be the first time FITSnews author, former Sanford spokesman Will Folks, wrote something false on his blog under the assumption that readers would believe it true, verified and with an absence of malice.

Folks is paid to write favorably of people, organizations and causes because he receives economic gain from the success of those people, organizations and causes. Some might find that offensive. Other may only be now be finding it news.

No matter how you feel about it, this should only serve as an example of how Will Folks has lied in order to get his opinion across at any cost.

Ahhhh. The Sunset Lodge. The biggest whore house on the entire east coast of the US. And it was located in beautiful Georgetown County, SC. And it was open and operational until just a few years ago. The corruption and illegal activity of SC and Georgetown County in particular. Ahhhh. Happy endings for everyone.

“we may be arrogant, opinionated, imbalanced and uncouth, but at least we’re not f—ing unoriginal, people.”

And wrong-headed, close-minded, uniformed, callous, and largely irrelevant. But hey, not f-ing unoriginal.

By fitsnews on March 4th, 2008 at 8:48 am

People, people, people … so serious today. As for the identity of the blogger in question, our interest passed the moment we completed the sentence. We do, however, have credible sources within the media community who tell us Mr. Shealy is affiliated with the site.

Is he? We’d invoke the “tree falling in the woods” argument, but it’s 2008 and that’s a little played out.

As for all the talk about us getting paid by the governor and all these other people, we keep waiting for somebody to offer some proof.

We write whatever the f–k we want, whenever we want and however we want. Nobody tells us what to do, and we reserve the right to bust anybody’s balls we want. Hell, we’ve busted everybody’s balls on this site, thus the “hater parade.”

For those of you who appreciate good, well written books, the history of Georgetown’s Sunset Lodge was fictionalized in a novel and published in 1995. The book is titled Keeper of the House by Rebecca T. Godwin.

Ah hell! From the preceeding page I find out Willie is a damn LIB. This I can probably handle, but to learn The FITS Girls are a bunch of “church bell” size ball bearing transvestites, this just aint right.

They do have a point — you should disclose your conflicts and clients, especially if you’re covering them. What miniscule credibility you have will evaporate if you run your site just to reward your clients and punish your/their enemies.
That’s kind of what it looks like.

Ross,

We feel like a song. Sing along, kids:

It’s The sic(k) willie Mouse Club!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
…….M-I-C, ……K-E-Y….M-O-U-S-Ee…
…….Nikki, Mickie and Markie-M-O-U-S-E!!!!!!!
…….Markie Mouse, Markie Mouse….
…….Mickey-Markie-and-Mouseee-Nikki….”
…….E-I-E-I-OOOOOOOOOOO

Okay, okay. The BIN News staff has no music director on staff and we could not carry a tune in a bucket. But, you get the idea.

Ross, sic(k) willie never lets truth get in the way of a sleazy post. As we here at BIN News are sure you’re aware, sic(l) willie considers the truth and facts as just inconveniences.

As a result no responsible elected official or staffer will admit talking to him. Nikki, are you listening?? Mick, how about you?? Mark??

By the way, cash payments can cause problems for you!! :)

Sincerely,
BIN News Staff

P.S. Tell your Dad to call us for lunch next time he’s downtown.

By fitsnews on March 4th, 2008 at 8:32 pm

BIN,

We’ll be glad to tell Dad. You gonna start stalking another member of Sic’s family now?
