ASSISTANT MAJORITY LEADER WILL ANNOUNCE DECISION TO STEP DOWN MONDAY
FITSNews - February 8, 2008 - Being the Assistant Majority Leader in South Carolina is a lot like being Miss Congeniality. All it means is you ran for Majority Leader and didn’t win. But hey! You’ve got personality, baby!
Anyway, Assistant Majority Leader Adam Taylor - a RINO we never agree with (but who was at least a mild improvement over the previous Assistant Majority Leader, Rep. Whiney McGrumperson) - will announce Monday that he is not running for reelection to the S.C. House.
We’re guessing this news is the “secret” that Sic Willie’s new girl crush over at the suddenly-relevant Other Brooks Brothers website is talking about in this post … but we’re not sure. Sic is hoping Mary Claire’s “secret” is that she, too, feels the same stirrings of unrequited passion toward him, and that his playful e-flirting will be reciprocated with moderately-racy yet tasteful pictures of her that he is NOT allowed to share with anyone. Maybe something in a bathing suit? Maybe something involving chocolate?
Hmmm … we appear to have gotten off track … so why is Rep. Taylor calling it quits? Well, officially we expect to hear that he’s taking a job with his alma mater, Lander University (which means we’ll still be paying his salary). Unofficially? We think he may be from another planet. One where blowing money, keeping kids stupid and preserving a retarded government are cherished ideals. Wait … that’s South Carolina! At any rate, he’s the second politician affiliated with these goons to hang up the penny loafers this year. Well, unless you’re counting Mitt Romney.
