Zingbob, you may be a Saint for all I know, I was speaking about what I deemed to be a logically flawed position you were taking. Please note, I don't support McCain, as I stated earlier. If I am wrong, flesh it out some more tell me where I made the mistakes in my assessment. Perhaps I was assuming too much about your position from your comments. I don't think I took anything you said out of context. Furthermore, fundamentalism is not inherently a bad thing it just depends on what you are dealin with. Just like being prejudice - when it comes to racial difference we often think of it as repugnant, when it comes to ther things it might be a good idea to be prejudice about certain things, or judgemental or fundamental. In politics I think fundamentalism.

"fundamentalist logic"

"anti-political, anti-compromise, and anti-representative government"

"you would be foolish and disturbingly hard headed NOT to vote for him"

"you unreasonableness is so palable I just can’t hold my tongue"

"kind of thinking that unleashed that sort of filth on the world"

"your brain in neutral and ignoring the big picture"

"someone like you sniveling about taking his toys home"

______________

In the quotes above, you "experts" seem to have really sized up my character, despite having never met me. All these verbose, vitriolic replies...just for refusing to vote for John McCain? (It's almost comical.) I think we know where the real "fundamentalism" lies.

Nothing personal, but I think it's time for y'all to switch to decaf or consider enrolling in anger management therapy.

Zing.... the hit dog yelps..... Actually I was not calling you a nazi per se, what I meant was that it was that kind of thinking that unleashed that sort of filth on the world. In other words, I'm saying conservative is merely a label whackos like you use, to justify putting your brain in neutral and ignoring the big picture. Vote Democrat if you want, I guess in your world of extremist right wing logic, this is what you call character. To me it is no different than the kid who doesn't like the call, so he takes his ball and goes home. As for getting a life, I already have one.... which is why watching someone like you sniveling about taking his toys home is merely entertainment.....

zingbob19, don't be sensitive, Romney has gone a lot further in labeling the whole Democratic party terrorits and aiding terrorists than anybody on this post has to you. Of course the could be what many conservatives liked in Romney so much, his unwillingness to let facts or his previous "core beliefs" get in his way when racing towards a personally beneficial opportunities.

Zing, you stated '"Voting based on closely held principles isn’t 'suicide bombing.' Most people would call it 'character.'

Perhaps you are just too blinded by your own "political opportunism."

Maybe some of these stay home conservatives, and don't get me wrong I hope you do stay home and not vote, should start to realize politics is not about getting everything you want just the way you want it - it is the art of compromise. The farther right the conservative movement gets the more it gets towards a fundamentalism which anti-political, anti-compromise, and anti-representative government.

I have voted in almost every election I could and I have NEVER voted for a candidate that I was perfectly pleased with. If McCain represents your views better than Obama or Clinton you would be foolish and disturbingly hard headed NOT to vote for him over one of the other two. I liked Dodd and Biden, and think either Obama or Clinton are a far, far cry from either of those two on so many levels, but will likely vote for Obama if he is the nominee because he represents more of my beliefs than McCain does. Based on your fundamentalist logic, you should probably not have voted for Romney either (or any other candidate for that matter) because unless that candidate is you yourself, you will be voting for some who...gasp...does not represent all of your beliefs and you will have no "character" and just be a "political opportunist" according to your own small picture judgement. Note I am not even a McCain supporter, but you unreasonableness is so palable I just can't hold my tongue.

Amazed,

Because I've identified myself as a conservative who won't vote for John McCain, you've insinuated that I'm a Nazi and flatly labeled me a terrorist "suicide bomber."

Get a life.

The hyperbole of partisan wackoes like you has convinced me that I made the right decision.

Hey Zing, how fuzzy will it be if we elect either Obama or the Clinton twins, so we can surrender in the war? Will it help any to just give up our country's principles to protect YOUR "principles?" Tell that to anyone who remembers 9/11. Is it character to sell out our nation, when what we should be doing is standing united? If this is fuzzy logic......then what are you using? Aside from cutting your nose off to spite your face, I'm a little at a loss to understand where you could be coming from.... after all, will Hillary make your character stand tall or lead to more terrorism in the US? Besides, how do you define conservative? Does your definition require arm bands and brown shirts?? Obama's record shows that he is the most liberal in the Senate, and Hillary has shown that she can strip a whitehouse in only a few days.... is that really what you want?

sic(k0) willie described a: "...disingenuous, unscrupulous, hypocritical and downright annoying panderer."

That's "...the pot calling the kettle black."

It sounds like a description of sic(k) willie, SCRG, Voice for School Scams and the host of other scams being dumped on us these days.

Vouchers are a scam, and so is sic(k) willie.
