Superlicious Tuesday February 5, 2008

FITSNews - February 5, 2008 - We thought Super Tuesday was supposed to be in March or something, but apparently it’s today - and apparently it’s pretty important. Twenty-four states are holding their primary elections for president on this Superest of Tuesdays, with 52% of Democratic delegates and 41% of Republican delegates up for grabs - at least the delegates who’ve been watching their waistlines.
Frankly, the notion of a Super Tuesday makes us wonder why we didn’t do this a month ago and just skip all those kooky early states. Like our state, for example.
Anyway, New Yorkers, Illinoisans and Californians all go to the polls today, as do Georgians, Arizonans, Minnesotans and Alaskans.
New Jerseyites and Tennesseans will cast their votes, as will Arkansans and Kansans (well Democratic Kansans anyway).
Odds are that when all those votes (even the ones from inbred West Virginia Republicans) are tallied up, John McCain will likely emerge as the Republican nominee for president, although the slugfest between Billary and Barack Obama could go on all Spring.
Which reminds us, pitchers and catchers report to Spring Training next week, so we’re rooting for a little midseason slump to all this political chatter so we can focus on the important things in life - like drafting a good fantasy baseball team.

Speaking of FBL, are you going to host a FITSNews league? That would make for even more entertainment.
