OWNER OF YOUNG’S COMPANY CONTRIBUTES TO POLS, STIFFS EMPLOYEES AND CONTRACTORS

FITSNews - February 1, 2008 - While it’s apparently no problem for Arnold Goodstein (who owns the homebuilding company that employs State Rep. Annette Young) to dole out thousands in campaign contributions to state legislators, it looks as if making payroll at his business and paying contractors on time is proving a bit difficult lately.

According to documents obtained exclusively by FITSNews, contractors working in Charleston County filed 10 liens against Summerville Homes in December of 2007, totalling $48,000. Additionally, Summerville Homes laid off a quarter of its work force that same month.

Ouch. Somebody needs to fill those empty Dewar’s glasses immediately …

And to think, Goodstein’s Wife, Diane Goodstein was trying to become a Supreme Court Judge. How on earth could that (not) have happened with Arnold and Annette passing out checks? Oh, maybe the checks bounced!!! Hate it when that happens.

Have you done any further research into filings associated with Summerville Homes lately?
