The S.C. House Is Busy Today
ADULT DAY CARE SPRINGS INTO ACTION, PEOPLE
FITSNews – January 24, 2008 – The South Carolina House of Representatives kicked out two more bills today, one that would provide a tax cut to married couples and one that would dedicate South Carolina’s vehicle sales tax to the State Highway Fund.
The bills come a day after the House unveiled its version of earmark reform, which given the voters’ unquenchable passion about the earmark issue will no doubt spark a revolution, baby!
We’re not sure what to make of any of these bills, because instead of telling us what they actually do, the House instead decided to talk about how awesome its members are and how they’re a bunch of rock star fiscal conservatives. Which is, yeah, probably up for some debate given the fact they’ve grown government in South Carolina twice as fast as the national average over the last three years, and grew state spending at 20 times the rate your paycheck grew last year.
We also thought it was interesting that just one day after a supposed legislative target list popped up in a local alternative weekly, House Speaker Bobby Harrell decided to prominently feature two of the legislators who appeared on the list in his statewide press release, specifically Gene Pinson and Gloria Haskins.
Hmmmm … did that list strike a nerve, we wonder?

You think that because that list came out yesterday that the names were put in press releases and sent out the next day?

Hate to point out the obvious here, but Sic Willie has addressed the latest williescam on his blog, in not one post, but three posts in the last three days, as well as put his “official statement” out on one of them…even if it was purrty funny…
Any pr is good pr as long as they spell your name right…Sic Willie will benefit from this, not the other way around…The longer exposure on this “hit list” article stays around, the better, for his political consulting.
