Ledger's death is certainly sad, but I can't get over the lack of perspective demonstrated by the media here. Our country is likely on the verge of a recession and the stock market dropped three hundred points the night before Ledger's death. It was a huge story on Foxnews and CNN in the morning, but then a celebrity dies and that's all you hear about for two days. Are the American people really that out of touch with reality? The details of what happened Heath Ledger just aren't as important as the problems facing our country. I know you guys report on a little bit of everything, but I am dissappointed that you chose to write about him and haven't yet posted anything about the possibility of a recession.

My favorite Brokeback Mountain moment (and favorite Knocked Up moment) was the deleted scene from Knocked Up. Definitely worth renting the DVD to see.

It took some balls for Heath Ledger to do a gay cowboy movie, and it also took some balls for him to take a role previously played by Jack Nicholson. According to Wikipedia, Ledger locked himself in a hotel room alone for a month to prepare for the role. I'm looking forward to seeing it.
