It’s Manning Versus Brady

PEYTON’S LITTLE BROTHER WILL HAVE TO PICK UP THE SLACK TO DERAIL PERFECT PATS

FITSNews – Janaury 21, 2008 – For the record, we’re still not over Indianapolis’ heartbreaking playoff loss to the San Diego Chargers last week. Having said that, the fact that a Manning-quarterbacked team will have a chance to undo the hated Patriots‘ undefeated season does give us some measure of satisfaction.

Most notably, we’re happy for Eli Manning, a guy who many felt was on his way out as the New York Giants’ QB after his team stumbled badly out of the gate in 2007. But after a thrilling 23-20 overtime win against Brett Favre and the Green Bay Packers yesterday, Manning and the Giants are headed to Glendale, Arizona to play for all the marbles.

Their challenge? Defeat this decade’s dynasty – and the first team to ever go 18-0. There’s no doubt Tom Brady and the Pats will be heavy favorites for the February 3rd showdown in the desert, but New York proved last month that it can hang with New England, losing by just three points in both teams’ regular season finale at the Meadowlands.

The FITS gals will be pulling for you, Eli!
