U.S. SENATOR CLAIMS ROMNEY’S GOP RIVALS “TARGETED” HIM

FITSNews - January 11, 2008 - We give U.S. Senator Jim DeMint all the props in the world for being a good fiscal conservative. We also give him all the credit in the world for winning his 2004 Senate race, because he was getting his ass kicked until he made a controversial remark about unwed teachers that galvanized right wing support and deflected attention away from his incomprehensible tax plan. Oh, and his moronic consultants also got overruled on the script for a key endorsement ad featuring Gov. Mark Sanford and U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham, which also helped. A lot.

Having said all that, DeMint’s asinine comments in today’s USA Today represent perhaps the most retarded analysis of the 2008 presidential election we’ve seen to date. Specifically:

DeMint said other GOP candidates, such as former Arkansas governor Mike Huckabee and Arizona Sen. John McCain, targeted (Mitt) Romney in the early primary and caucus voting.

So let’s get this straight … DeMint’s candidate failed miserably in his dual effort to flip-flop on every issue under the sun and purchase the early primary states, a failure which then forced him to launch massive negative TV barrages against his rivals in Iowa and New Hampshire. Oh, and let’s not forget his consulting team anonymously attacking another candidate here in South Carolina.

Geez, Jim. Put the pipe down. If that’s the definition of “targeted,” then this is the definition of “saw.” Either way, our definition of your assessment is ”crazy.”

Well FITS, I don’t know, if Romney has enough “back bone” to pack it in and run off to Michgan like the poor little spoiled rich kid that he is based on (God forbid) some tough and even negative campaigning by other canidates in the GOP Presidential primary in S.C. then I would then he definitely has the thick skin it takes to be Commander in Chief - oh great, now I attacked him for being weak! He’s going to come back and win in a landslide…dang it!
