FITSNews – January 3, 2008 – It’s been a couple months since the nickname “Little Digger” first burst onto the South Carolina political scene. Since then, we’ve seen how the little digger spends, how the little digger travels and how the little digger rolls.
Aside from his well-known green bean fetish, however, we’ve never seen how the little digger (a.k.a. State Sen. Hugh Leatherman) eats.
Of course, all that changed this afternoon when FITSNews spotted Leatherman dining sumptuously at Miyo’s fine Shanghai cuisine (editor’s note: their Orange chicken is the bomb). Accompanied by an unknown female companion, Leatherman was no doubt preparing for the upcoming legislative spendfest, which starts next Tuesday.
Amazingly, we didn’t see Columbia lobbyist Richard Davis anywhere near the building, which is surprising considering his default position typically involves suckling on Leatherman’s power teat.

Why is it that Leatherman cuts or eliminares nearly every project that the House puts in that Richard Davis lobbies for?

Why were Davis and his associate high-fiving each other when Leatherman got his majority back on the State Budget & Control Board?
And the notion of Leatherman cutting or eliminating anything is ridiculous. The budget always grows on the Senate side, dude, and that’s your pork-boy’s domain.
On the other hand, we love it when cretins like you attempt to comment intelligently. It makes us look good.

Come on people…Hugh Leather(dem) hasn’t strayed too far from his original roots. He’s never really been a Republican…just one in name only to get re-elected. He’s still the tax and spend liberal he always was and this type of information is necessary to keep all of you Republican’s who can’t think for yourselves in check! Keep it coming Will. We need the real Hugh Leatherman please stand up so we can vote him down!

Will. your a dumbass and the real cretin. You really don’t know what you write about. #2 who you dismissed was right. While you are correct that the Senate grows the budget, you obviously don’t pay attention to know that everything that super lobbyist like Davis and Smith wanted and got in the House DID get cut by Digger in the Senate. Go check for once. Then they got saved by the House. But I forgot, you’re too smart to be wrong. but you really should take time to investigate stuff first. Davis and Smith owe their love to someone else this time.

The whole state was high fiving when Ravenel left the board….not because we didn’t like hime, but Sanford lost what little power he had…once again. What a waste of 8 years and taxpayer dollars that administration is and continues to be..

Say what you want about T-Rav, but his personal failings do not diminish the fact that he was always a champion for the taxpayer.
And it’s not about Sanford as an individual, although we are inclined to agree in large part with your assessment on that front.
