Apparently the then Greek Patriarch of Jerusalem (think similar to Pope or Cardinal ArchBishop), who has since been deposed, ordered the Greek Monks to beat and kick the Fransiscans for their insolence in leaving their door open during the Greek Services. This happened at the Church of the Holy Sepulcher in Jerusalem.
