Whatever “ties” Dr. Witherspoon may have had, at least he won’t be defending the “right” of Democrats to block judicial nominations, he won’t be blocking the nominee for the Fourth Circuit based on a concern for the “rights” of terrorists, he won’t be stirring up controversies over the interrogation of terrorists at Gitmo, he won’t be working to secure full Geneva Convention protection for Islamic terrorists who are currently exempt from such protection, and he won’t be seeking amnesty and a “path to citizenship” for foreign nationals who have illegally broken into our country, many with criminal records.

This article is creating “issues”. Why? Oh, why knock the man who is, right now, the most credible opposition to Lindsey? Does Fits have somebody else in mind? We’re all listening.
But, realistically, Buddy doesn’t hold any of those crazy views that the article above (and others) is trying to label him with. There are crazies, and there are crazies. But in the age of everyone-hates-amnesty, isn’t it just plain treason to call someone a racist? Especially when that someone really isn’t all that bad, and definitely better than the incumbent?

I will vote for Witherspoon. I don’t know much about him yet, but so far, so good. The Graham campaign is going to try like heck to marginalize his candidacy but I hope he puts up a heckuva fight. Lindsey needs to go.
