JIM REX IS SUCH A LEADER
FITSNews – November 1, 2007 – Given the recent rash of South Carolina public school teachers having sex with their students, we figured it would only be a matter of time before State Superintendent of Education Jim Rex addressed this brewing controversy. What we didn’t figure was that his response – specifically announcing his intention to form a “task force” to investigate the problem – would be so lame.
What is it with South Carolina politicians and the formation of these weak ass task forces? Even Gov. Mark Sanford, who lambasted his Democratic predecessor for being too “task force happy,” has resorted far too frequently to this distinctly political method of appearing like you’re dealing with a problem without actually dealing with it.
Task forces are a lot like that scene in the movie Spaceballs when the starship Megamaid is about to go to “ludicrous speed” and a frustrated Dark Helmet asks Colonel Sandurz, “Why are we always preparing to go?? Just go!!”
Of course, according to the, um, “reporting” done by Bill Robinson over at Rex Lovers R Us (a.k.a. La Socialista newspaper), the Superintendent’s “task force” idea is … wait for it … the greatest thing since sliced bread!
How do we know this? Well, once again not a single person Robinson interviewed for his front-page fellatio story had anything but glowing things to say about it.
Additionally Rex’s new BFF, Spartanburg Republican Scott Talley, is also getting into the mix, sponsoring the requisite kneejerk legislation from the S.C. General Assembly.
UPDATE – What’s also interesting about Robinson’s article is that he openly refers to the Palmetto State Teachers Association and the South Carolina Education Association as the State Department of Education’s “stakeholders.” Which is exactly our point, because the last time we checked the real stakeholders of the Department should be South Carolina parents and taxpayers, not a damn teacher’s union and a liberal advocacy group.

It’s odd that sic(k) will continues to read the newspaper that he loves to hate and read the education writer he loves to attack.
But, we’ve addressed will’s love-hate relationship with The State before, so this post full of kitty litter is not a surprise.
Speaking of perverts, have you heard about the new grassroots organization being formed? Here’s the new bumper sticker:
Protect Little Children – Ban sic(k) will From Schools
Funding for this “grassroots” LLC will pour in from out-of-state Libertarian money changers as soon as we get the web site up to make us look like we really exist.
