INDY MOVES TO 6-0 WITH WIN OVER THE JAGUARS

FITSNews – October 22, 2007 – While Sic Willie was shedding man tears of joy because Brad gave a rose to Sheena on The Bachelor (even after she busted her ass coming down the stairs prior to their “one-on-one time”), the FITS girls were busy watching the Indianapolis Colts move to 6-0 on the season with a 29-7 thumping of the Jacksonville Jaguars.

This one wasn’t even that close, people. After giving up just 50 rushing yards per game in four successive wins, the vaunted Jacksonville defense surrendered nearly three times amount that to Indy’s dual-threat backfield, and Super Bowl MVP Peyton Manning connected for 259 yards passing. Most impressively, Indy’s defense gave up just 117 yards on the ground after being scorched last year by the Jaguars for a franchise-record 375 yards.

With so much attention being paid to the hated New England Patriots so far this year, it was nice to see the Colts ring up a solid road win against a quality opponent and make their case for consideration as the best team in the NFL. The Patsies, who cheat by the way, will probably still be favored when the two teams meet in Indianapolis on November 4, but keep in mind the Colts have taken the last three games against New England, including a thrilling 38-34 win in last year’s AFC Championship game.
