U.S. SENATOR JIM DEMINT NEEDS A NEW NAME FOR HIS ENEMA … ER ENEMY

FITSNews – October 19, 2007 – You know, every time we see a news story about U.S. Senator Jim DeMint (R-S.C.) railing against “secret back door earmarks,” we can’t help but chuckle a little bit. Like his buddy Mitt Romney (pictured above, presumably probing for them), we admire DeMint’s fiscal conservatism, but that’s about it.

And sure, we know what a “secret backdoor earmark” is (at least we think we do), but if you’re a notoriously out-of-touch robot like DeMint, it’s probably not the best idea to try to sell an insider issue with insider speak, especially if it’s a term that most people will immediately suspect has something to do with you listening to their anus.

To put it another way, if you’re headed to a college football game tomorrow (like us), we wouldn’t recommend going up to a complete stranger and saying “May I share some information on backdoor earmarks with you?”

We definitely wouldn’t recommend doing it while tapping your foot in a public restroom.

Will, do you get ALL your talking points from the McCain campaign mouthpiece, Palmetto Scoop?

http://www.palmettoscoop.com/2007/10/18/major-glitch-in-romneybot%e2%80%99s-memory-mechanism/

The newest one appears to be this: “Romney and one of his principal SC supporters, Jim DeMint, should be portrayed as stiff, out-of-touch with voters, and ‘robot’-like. Repeatedly, use Romney’s name in conjunction with ‘Flip Flopper’ and ‘Robot.’ McCain should be portrayed as empathetic, experienced, consistent, and in-touch with voters. If anyone points out McCain’s liberal positions on several issues, respond that he is an American hero and that we can’t agree on everything.”

Keep on spinning, Will!
