That’s right people, our coveted 2008 presidential endorsement is still up for grabs, but after watching director Michael Bay’s Transformers on DVD tonight we’re leaning strongly towards supporting Optimus Prime.

First of all, he’s red, white and blue. Check, check and check. Second, he loves the human race and was willing to sacrifice himself in order to save it. Big check. Third, he’s tall, strong and has a pretty hot voice. Triple-check. Finally, even though he does change back and forth between a big rig and an ass-kickin’ robot, he’s no flip-flopper.

Run Prime, run! We’ll figure out the citizenship thing later …
