CONGRESSIONAL APPROVAL RATINGS PLUMMET TO EIGHTEEN PERCENT - LOWEST EVER

FITSNews - August 22, 2007 - According to a poll released yesterday by Gallup, the U.S. Congress has an approval rating of 18% - yup, 18% - which is the worst rating since the company began tracking Congressional approval back in 1974. A whopping 76% disapprove of the job Congress is doing.

Holy hell. There are probably serial killers, Islamic terrorists and third-world facist dictators with better polling numbers than this. These guys have even managed to make President Shrub (whose approval ticked up from 29% to 32%) look positively Clintonian.

Frankly, if this isn’t a sign that America has totally bailed on its current crop of leaders, we don’t know what is. Maybe it’s time for “Contract With America 2 - Electric Boogaloo.”
