Objects in the rearview are always closer than they appear. Remember that 'Far Side' cartoon?

We don't have a dog in the 2008 fight. We'll be making our primary endorsements as we get closer to the actual date of the vote, but as of now we don't have a favorite in the GOP fold.

As for the Democrats, right now we like Bill Richardson although he didn't help himself in the early debates and is struggling to keep up with the Clinton and Obama juggernauts.

McCain is probably getting quite nervous after this. Huckabee's directly in his rearview mirror, and is likely a lot closer than appears at first glance.

Will, I'll put down money on a Giuliani-Huckabee or Romney-Huckabee ticket. I'm hoping for Romney-Huckabee, but I'd hold my nose for the Giuliani ticket. You in?
