South Carolina To Vote Jan. 19
STATE MOVES REPUBLICAN PRIMARY DATE
FITSNews – August 9, 2007 – S.C. GOP Chairman Katon Dawson just announced in New Hampshire this morning that he was moving South Carolina’s Republican presidential primary to January 19, 2008, preserving the Palmetto State’s “First-In-The-South” status … for now.
Dawson’s move comes two months after those sneaky sons of b*tches in Florida leapfrogged a dozen states (including South Carolina) by setting the Sunshine State’s primary date for January 29.
In response to Dawson’s announcement, the state of Iowa (editor’s note: yawn) is now threatening to move its famed Caucuses to December 2007 – almost a year before the actual presidential election is held.
Jeez. By the time this is over we’ll be voting for President next week … which means Fred Thompson better hurry up and announce already.
