Nothing Could Be Finer
SOAKING IN SOUTH CAROLINA’S PRISTINE NATURAL BEAUTY
FITSNews – July 21, 2007 – We make fun of our home state a lot here on FITSNews – its worst-in-the-nation education system, anti-competitive tax code, 1895 government structure and free-spending “New Deal Republicans,” and that’s usually just us getting warmed up.
We like to think of ourselves as a first-rate website in a second-rate town in a third-rate region in a fourth-rate state, and a recent public opinion poll showed that 100% of people who are currently breathing agreed with us.
When it comes to sheer natural beauty, though, there’s simply no state that can hold a candle to South Carolina – especially if you happen to be walking anywhere along its 180-mile coastline close to sunset. And since that’s exactly where we happened to be tonight, we thought we’d snap a picture for ya (above). For our botany-challenged readers (or those of you printing these up to make post-cards for your grandparents), those are sea oats and palmetto trees silhouetted against a picture-perfect South Carolina summer sunset. Enjoy!
