Sen. Darrell Jackson Gets A Compliment

WE HAD NO IDEA HE WAS THIS HANDSOME, PEOPLE

FITSNews – June 7, 2007 - It’s a pretty slow news day, so the fact that a prominent South Carolina lobbyist remarked to us last night that State Sen. Darrell Jackson bore an uncanny resemblance to our own Sic Willie seems as good a topic for discussion as anything. After all both are extremely intelligent, immensely powerful and devastatingly handsome black men who love to preach the gospel. They also both drive black cars and have beautiful puppy dog brown eyes.

Sic Willie has even paid a visit to Jackson’s Bible Way church, although he did get in a little trouble for parking in Mother Jackson’s reserved spot. Which as it turns out has a lot better security than the governor’s parking spot in the State House basement.

Anyway, we’re “Sorry, Mrs. Jackson.” Sen. Jackson does get “mad props” (editor’s note: praise), though, for his comments on the floor of the State Senate earlier this week, when he said that “the time was coming” when he would vote in favor of real school choice given the failure of all other methods to make a dent in solving South Carolina’s chronic education woes.
