STATE NEWSPAPER REPORTER HAILS SCHOOLS CHIEF JIM REX AS LORD OF LORD AND KING OF KINGS

FITSNews – June 5, 2007 - We’re not saying State Newspaper reporter Bill Robinson is Jim Rex’s disciple, but don’t be surprised if there’s a makeshift shrine at his cubicle devoted to the S.C. Superintendent of Education. We’ve written previously about Robinson’s Rex obsession (and the striking resemblance it bears to gay porn), but today’s Rex advertisement newspaper article in The Rex made us blush once again. From the unconditional love and worship … er story:

The annual teacher job fair in Columbia benefited Monday from a Rex-star buzz … Rex, attired in a trendy khaki suit and bright-orange tie, worked a Department of Education booth in the corner of the Cantey Building. He chatted up candidates about one of his 2006 campaign platform planks — making teaching an attractive career option once again. Rex could not offer anyone a job — those are local decisions — but he pitched the idea that some S.C. schools need energetic, highly motivated educators unafraid of a challenge. “You can’t sugarcoat it,” he said. “We have schools that need a lot of help. I’m trying to convey that these are good opportunities to grow professionally and personally. And we’re putting a plan in place to make that happen.”

Okay, but what about his loafers, Bill? What color were his loafers? Because that probably passes for a salient detail when you’re writing an advertisement … sorry, article … about a guy whose entire plan for recruiting teachers to South Carolina’s failing schools consists of wearing a “trendy khaki suit and bright-orange tie” to a teacher’s expo. In addition to sugarcoating Rex’s “un-sugarcoatable” prognosis, Robinson “interviewed” four people for his story – all of whom shockingly revealed that they thought Rex’s “plan” was a great idea.

This typically childish post is better suited for Will’s other silly blog attempt called http://www.idontbelievethestate.com which now goes about a month between posts. It’s an even more childish site than this – if you can believe anything can be more childish.

Although the site was designed to attack The State it is often distracted into attacks on public education. The fact he is not posting there much anymore suggests his masters have lost interest in it, again.

Will, what’s you plan to improve our public schools? Don’t even suggest any kind of voucher scam. We all know what’s really behind that – wink wink. Vouchers are a total scam.

Wolf, this is not about Will hating The State; it is about a news reporter, charged with objectively reporting the news, fawning in an openly gay and subjective manner over someone he is supposed to be covering. It is very unprofessional.

Trawlerman. Your are an idiot. Define “openly gay.”

P.S. You are sooo cute when you get mad.

“Your are an idiot.” Are you a product of public schools, Fish?
