Sanford’s Senior Moments

FITSNews - June 2, 2007 - We don’t know the name of the geezer standing next to S.C. Governor Mark Sanford in the picture above, but odds are he’s got a much firmer grip on reality than South Carolina’s chief executive does.

Sanford stopped by a Lexington County, S.C. “Feed and Seed” on Friday to further bemoan the status of the state’s bloated budget, only to forget the name of the store he was visiting during his press conference. Adding insult to injury, Sanford referred to Lexington State Rep. Kit Spires as “Ken,” which is the name of the guy Spires beat in last year’s election.

Somebody seriously needs to get the governor some Ginkgo Biloba. Or figure out a way to make tanning booths increase knowledge retention.
