ELEVEN YEAR OLD ALABAMA BOY DROPS THOUSAND POUND HOG
FITSNews – May 26, 2007 – Politicians who like to talk about stopping the pork could take a lesson from an 11-year-old Jamison Stone, the Alabama boy who shot and killed a 1,051-pound hog earlier this month on a plantation in Delta, Ala. Dubbed “Hogzilla II,” the pig eclipsed the original Hogzilla’s weight by an estimated 250 pounds.
“It feels really good,” Jamison, of Pickensville, (Ala.) said in a telephone interview with The Associated Press. “It’s a good accomplishment. I probably won’t ever kill anything else that big.”
Jamison’s pig shooting exploits can be chronicled in further detail over at MonsterPig.com, a website the boy’s father set up to mark the event for posterity. Personally, we think this kid should be president.

What I find so amazing about this story is how it went down. I mean, I’m one of those Southerners that don’t like guns or shooting animals, so I don’t really have a frame of reference.
This kid shot the hog eight times while chasing it for three hours. Not only that, but because feral pigs are known to be very aggressive, they had to put a cap in it at point-blank, and two guys in the hunting party kept their rifles on it, just in case.
And what are they making out of it? 500 POUNDS OF SAUSAGE.

This gives hunting a bad name. The adults should be charged with animal cruelty. Wild hogs donot normally get that big on roots and acorns. This was on a hunting “preserve.” Someone was feeding it the thing for a year or more. They were probably feeding ithigh protein commercial hog feed. They certainly knew he was ththere and knew how big he was. If they were goin to hunt it humanely they should have used a highpowered rifle. The boy was hunting a heavy pistol, but its nothing compared to high powered rifles. This was a set up for the kid to kill it with a pistol.
