CLINTON WANTS VOTERS TO SELECT HER CAMPAIGN THEME SONG
FITSNews – May 16, 2007 – With Bill Clinton it was Fleetwood Mac’s “Don’t Stop (Thinking About Tomorrow).” Now his wife Hillary’s presidential bid is about to acquire its own musical accompaniment. According to a video press release sent out by the Clinton campaign this evening, Team Hill is encouraging her supporters to vote for a campaign theme song. The choices are:
*City of Blinding Lights – U2
*Suddenly I See – KT Tunstall
*I’m a Believer – Smash Mouth
*Get Ready – The Temptations
*Ready to Run – Dixie Chicks
*Rock This Country! – Shania Twain
*Beautiful Day – U2
*Right Here, Right Now – Jesus Jones
*I’ll Take You There – The Staple Singers
*_____________________ (write-in)
“I hope people from across the country will go to my website and vote for the song they feel best represents our message of change and their hopes for a better America,” Hillary said. “And I promise to leave the singing to the professionals.” Ha-ha-ha Hill. So funny. Actually, this was a great idea to get people engaged in her campaign – at least it was right up to the whole “write-in category” idea. Seriously, what the hell is the Clinton camp going to do if a song like “My Humps” by the Black Eyed Peas wins on a write-in vote? Is Hillary really going to bound up on stage with the lyrics “my hump, my hump, my hump, my hump, my lovely lady lumps” blaring in the background?

Sic, what about “The Bitch is Back” by Elton John?

Oh, God. This is so awful. If she chooses Shania Twain (and, hey, you know she will), I will organize an army of squirrels to attack her at every campaign stop, and hire a man in a giant squirrel costume to protest her assault on the nation’s ears.
If you didn’t know, the Dems are using the furry woodland creatures to carry out dirty tricks these days. No muss, no fuss. Dealing with the squirrel wrangler can be a bitch, though.

Obama entered to “City of Blinding Lights” when he announced his candidacy. What a great song.

shouldn’t quaint little southern gems named laurin whose last name is manning who completely retired from blogworld not be allowed to comment on blogs. Especially when they are now paid operatives of a political campaign and with true sorority girl spirit telling us just how “awesome” their bosses political song is.
How tragic. Laurin, just start writing you blog again and tell the world how super cool your boss is. You could call it Laurin loves Obama.

Does anyone remember when Obama campaigned for Inez and broke out the gem, “Tenanbaumamomma?” No?

The talking heads at Hillaryville must have amnesia. John Kerry used “Beautiful Day” as his theme at the Convention. Wanna go for 0-2??
