War Rhetorical
LANGUAGE OF CONFLICT ONE STEP ABOVE SHERIFF JOHN BUNNELL
FITSNews – May 2, 2007 – If you happen to be bored – which we happen to be a lot – we’ve got something for you to try.
In reading all the hyperbolic quotes in the paper these days from President Shrub and Congressional Democrats regarding the showdown over the Iraq War … why not stop for a minute and pretend it’s the voice of Sheriff John Bunnell from “World’s Wildest Police Chases” that’s doing the talking?
You know Bunnell, he’s that guy who’s always saying “these criminals thought they were getting something for nothing, but all they got was a free trip (pause) … to jail.” Talk about some good rhetoric. And if you’re anything like us, it’s the “(pause) … to jail” that keeps you coming back for more.
