LINDSAY … ER, LINDSEY’S CAMP SAYS “ABSOLUTELY NOT”

FITSNews – April 23, 2007 – The FITSNews’ inbox was literally awash with e-mails this weekend from politicos who attended the Richland County Republican Party Convention in Columbia, S.C. on Saturday. Without exception, they all wanted to know if U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham was backing off of his support for U.S. Sen. John McCain.

It seems that Graham – long considered McCain’s staunchest S.C. ally – neglected to mention his presidential preference while speaking to the County Convention, leading some to believe that his support for the Arizona Senator had softened.

“Absolutely not,” Graham spokesman Kevin Bishop told FITSNews Monday afternoon. “He’s in Sen. McCain’s corner one hundred percent, no ifs ands or buts. He’s been a surrogate for him and he’ll continue to be a surrogate for him.”

Bishop also said that former Oklahoma Gov. Frank Keating was McCain’s designated surrogate at the Richland County event, and that Graham was merely “playing by the rules” in not referencing McCain’s presidential bid during his speech.

Lindsay Lohan (pictured above) could not be reached concerning her presidential preference, but sources close to the freckled actress confirm she is leaning toward endorsing Sic Willie’s long – and we mean long - shot bid.
