Confederate States Of Rudy?
HIZZONER HOPSKOTCHING AROUND CONFEDERATE FLAG ISSUE?
FITSNews – April 14, 2007 - Former NYC Mayor Rudy Giuliani says the people of Alabama should decide whether or not to fly the Confederate Flag outside their state capital building. And while trusting Alabamians with anything beyond their TV dinner preference is the definition of insanity in our book, that’s surprisingly not what Hizzoner is catching hell for. Turns out he previously encouraged South Carolinians to remove the Confederate Flag from their State House dome, even singling out former Gov. David Beasley’s efforts on that front as “courageous.” From the National Hotline’s article:
The strain of consistency here is that Giuliani said the decision was best left to each states. But in the case of South Carolina, before he had conservatives to court, he was comfortable expressing his opinion … What changed?
Uhh … “what changed?” Are you serious? What changed? That’s like one of those rhetorical “who’s under the blanket” questions mothers ask their babies during Peek-A-Boo games. It’s mommy, little baby. Mommy is under the blanket.
Anyway, “what changed” (as the Hotline not so subtly implied) is that Rudy now has “conservatives to court.” Kind of like his current rival John McCain also had “conservatives to court” back in 2000, when he played to the flag crowd only to reverse his position after losing to Shrub W in the S.C. primary.
We don’t care about the Confederate flag issue one way or the other. Move it, leave it, rip it, burn it, put it back on the capital dome or in a museum, it’s all the same to us.
In fact, when we say our prayers every night (beneath our three framed paintings of Jesus, Stonewall Jackson and Flavor Flav), we ask God to make the whole Confederate flag flap go away. Then we ask for a lot of money. And sexy cowboy boots.
And then we finish with, “Let us cross the river and rest under the shade of YEEEAAAHHHH BOYEEEE!!!! In Jesus’ name, Amen.”

I think the voters of South Carolina should be allowed to decide what to do with our flag. I know a lot of folks in my area including myself would like to see it back on top of the Dome.

Not surprising. Glad the mouth-breathing knuckle draggers have spoken on the subject.

If it wasn’t for us ignorant folks then people like your former man Sanford wouldn’t get elected. You have to remember what the base of the Republican Party is in this state.
