Christian Coalition Has-Been Endorses Romney
A BURNING BUSH APPEARED TO DREW McKISSICK … WHOOPS, WRONG RELIGION
FITSNews - March 25, 2007 - Christian Coalition has-been Drew McKissick, who is slightly to the right of the Son of Man himself, has apparently announced that he is endorsing former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney for president.
We’re guessing the divine calling came to Drew while he was tending the flocks of Jethro on Mount Horeb when behold, he saw a bush that was on fire but lo, verily we say unto thee, the flames did not consume it. Then the burning bush spoke to Drew and told him to taketh off his sandals, for he was on Holy Ground.
This is huge news for Romney. After all, in his no-holds-barred effort to sucker impressionable right wing voters, landing the guy who once got fired from the South Carolina Republican Party for surreptitiously faxing documents to the Christian Coalition is definitely a coup. It’ll be interesting to see whether McKissick actually breathes fire in his role as a “South Carolina grassroots advisor.” Because if he does, we can light our Virginia Slims off of him every time he opens his mouth. Kind of like a man-sized lighter.
