Seriously, it’s like we Google image-searched these things. Or hired Beverly D’Angelo for the week.

But no, these lovely pics are all courtesy of Sic Willie, the accidental tourist. Shortly after snapping the photo above, in fact, our founding editor attempted to take a picture of a Capitol Police officer who was – let’s see how to put this – packing an automatic machine gun the likes of which you don’t see too often on the cops back home in Columbia, S.C. Yeah … let’s just say somebody ’bout got a taste of what enemy combatant status feels like. And it wasn’t the Capitol Police officer.
