Git In My Belly
CHARLESTON REPRESENTATIVE ATTEMPTS TO EAT COLLEAGUE
FITSNews – February 20, 2007 – The South Carolina State House got a little weird yesterday when 6′ 5″ State Rep. Chip Limehouse mistook his colleague Rep. Leon Stavrinakis (who is 5′ Maybe”) for a potential meal.
“Wait a minute, he kinda looks like a baby,” Limehouse bellowed as he began chasing Stavrinakis around the Blatt building. “Come here, I’m gonna eat ya. I’m bigger than you. I’m higher on the food chain. Git in my belly.”
Clearly a comedic dramatization of a scene from Austin Powers – The Spy Who Shagged Me, Stavrinakis probably didn’t see the humor with Limehouse breathing down his back singing “I want my baby back baby back baby back baby back.”
Limehouse, who is more frequently associated with Shrek than he is with Michael Myers‘ characters, nonetheless made a quick one degree of film separation by citing a quote that encompassed both films.
“I got a crap on deck that could choke a donkey,” Limehouse said, pointing to fellow State Rep. Michael Thompson.
For all of our national readers struggling to make sense of all this, don’t. Our state legislators seriously can’t get enough of this stuff. And neither can we.
