FITSNews – February 19, 2007 - Two Republican communications consultants have purchased the domain name www.SouthCarolina08.com for $1,000 from Laurin Manning, who has shut down her blogging operations to work on the campaign of Democratic presidential hopeful Barack Obama.
FITSNews has learned that House Republican Caucus Communications Director Jason Zacher, a former Greenville News reporter, and longtime Republican political consultant Chip Felkel will post a message to the website at noon today announcing that they have jointly purchased the site.
No word yet on whether the pair plan to have the website appraised for 25 times its value or use it as an ostensibly unbiased mouthpiece for a presidential campaign. Wait … that would be these guys.

Wow, I assumed the “Queen of the SC Blogosphere” (hey, can we come up with a less humble nickname? thanks) had quit her blog in order to ride the presidential primary bandwagon.
Now it looks like she fell out the game entirely. Maybe she’s scared of what happened to those Edwards bloggers?
Anyway, I’m sure she’ll continue to be a force to be reckoned with, a sort of Southern Hillary Clinton, mercilessly punishing her enemies while remaining demure and giggly.

Demure? I’ll give you “giggly,” but I don’t think anyone would characterize me as “demure” … as much as my mother might like for that to be the case.
