Hey Hill! It’s Bill!
WILL CLINTON RUN FROM CLINTON IN SOUTH CAROLINA? WE’LL FIND OUT THIS MORNING
FITSNews – February 19, 2007 - So Hillary is in town this morning, at least according to the e-mail we received from a Clinton for President staffer who is probably losing her job right about … now.
Whatever you do Crystal Patterson, do NOT shave your head. It’s not your fault we looked legit. And besides, we’ll always have that broom closet at the Columbia Metro airport Paris. Stay strong for us, baby. Stay strong.
Anyway, Hillary’s strategy of NOT distancing herself from husband Bill (who doesn’t even remotely look like he’s scoping for chicks with H.W. in that picture above) is apparently for real. How do we know? Because Hill’s first “Conversation with South Carolinians” is happening right where her husband spoke the last time he made a presidential visit to South Carolina – the John Hurst Adams Gymnatorium on the campus of Allen University.
See, we keep telling you people not to try and slide stuff like that past us. We’re perspicacious like Carlito Brigante. With multiple pairs of ovaries.
Which is BAM! when you get hit with a roofie that lightning fast wit and Latino redneck charm and the next thing you know you’re in a broom closet at the airport with Sic Willie and it’s just the two of you and you’re both sweating and breathing heavy and you’re asking yourself if his request for “ten minutes with the Senator” still means what you thought it meant.
But all things being equal you’re going to recommend it to her anyway.
And speaking of ‘anyway,’ isn’t it smart politics for Hill not to diss Bill? After six years of Shrub, even South Carolinians are capable of applying a bit of revisionist history to the Clinton Presidency, aren’t they?
As in it wasn’t so bad, was it?
We’ll see how this Clinton, the landslide frontrunner in early Democratic presidential polls, plays today in the Palmetto State. After all, the Bar-ack for Democrats was set pretty high Friday.
