Thousands Gather For School Choice
IN THE IMMORTAL WORDS OF ROBERT PLANT, “NOW’S THE TIME, THE TIME IS NOW”
FITSNews – February 13, 2007 – Approximately 4,000 people gathered on the S.C. State House steps today to support real school choice here in the Palmetto State, not the watered down public school choice that Jim Rex is supporting.
Think of it like this: If real school choice is a double Jack Daniels straight up, then Jim Rex’s school choice is non-alcoholic beer. Like O’Doul’s.

Yea, set up a school-choice rally at a time and day when educators are all working……

Two problems with the comment above: the noun “educators” and the participle “working.”

Jim Rex, chief educrat, appoints an 80 person committee that develops 100 goals…
This is the epitome of government bureaucracy that is bound to fail… and the man hasn’t even gotten his feet wet yet.
Lordy lordy…please hep dem little children.

It was an awesome event. Very impressive to see such a broad array of elected officials who spoke and those who attended.
Broad, diverse coalition….Christian schools, Catholic schools, Jewish school…and even a public school.
