ROMNEY CAMPAIGN’S LATEST FLIP FLOP – ANOTHER FLAMING DERAILMENT? OR JUST A TEST TO SEE IF SOUTH CAROLINIANS ARE PAYING ATTENTION?
FITSNews – February 10, 2007 – At the presidential level, good campaigns anticipate tough questions months in advance and prepare responses to keep their candidates “on message.” Great campaigns even turn the tough questions into message opportunities, laying a foundation with the initial answers and then building on that foundation with each successive response.
Then there is the campaign of former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, which more closely resembles what would happen if you gave a baby monkey an ice cream cone. On a windy day. And the baby monkey was retarded.
We know our favoritest girl-crush Kathleen Parker holds a much more flattering view of Flipper’s flip flops than we do, but this article isn’t about the veracity of Romney’s Road to Salt Lake City Damascus “conversion,” it’s about his perplexing inability to get his story straight about it.
As we mentioned two weeks ago, Romney told Associated Press reporter Bruce Smith on January 30 in Charleston that “over the last multiple years, as you know, I have been effectively pro-choice.”
Yesterday, however, Romney told Associated Press reporter Jim Davenport in Greenville that he “was always for life.”
Uhhh … come again? Did something happen on Interstate 26 over the past 12 days involving a blinding light and a voice from the heavens that we need to know about?
More importantly, is this a presidential campaign we’re supposed to take seriously? Or is it more like that Sesame Street song “One Of These Things Is Not Like The Other?” where we have to guess which “one of these kids is doing their own thing?
Mitt needs to get his sh*t together. At this rate, we’re going to run out of train wreck pictures before Spring.

So – let’s see – Mitt Romney was for life before he was against life. Since he was always for life, was the story of his relative killed by an abortion fantasy or just an interesting story to tell to poor, white, gullible, Southern evangelicals?
