CHICAGO ENDS NEW ORLEANS’ CINDERELLA SEASON WITH SOLDIER FIELD THUMPING
FITSNews - January 21, 2007 - There was nothing storybook about this ending.
The New Orleans Saints, the team that brought hope back to the Katrina-ravaged Gulf Coast all season long, got humbled this afternoon 39-14 by the NFC’s top-seeded team, the Chicago Bears.
Lost in the commotion surrounding New Orleans’ sentimental journey is this little tidbit: Chicago head coach Lovie Smith became the first black coach in NFL history to lead a team to the Super Bowl with today’s win.

I believe the correct pronunciation is, “thumpin’,” (see Bush comments, November 8th, 2006)

I think da real question is, “Can the Bears win without Ditka?”
I mean, the Super Bowl with Ditka would be, like, 312-3 Bears, and that’s a conservative estimate.
Without Ditka, we’re probably talking 250-7. It’ll be close.
Oh God. Heart Attack. I’m OK.
