US Flubs Brit’s Puppy Love
MAGAZINE CONFUSES $3,200 PURCHASE WITH ADOPTION …
FITSNews – January 12, 2007 – Apparently the only thing dumber than Britney Spears are the idiots who follow the Pop Slutlet around for a living. And yes, we know there is some singular-plural tense disagreement in that last sentence. But you know what? Sometimes our singular-plural tenses have to “agree to be disagreeable” when we are trying to make a point. And afterward they get ice cream like Sic Willie if they behave.
Anyway, as it turns out the people obessing over Britney’s every move are actually not much brighter than she is. Wait a minute, that wouldn’t be people like US, would it?
Of course it’s not us, it’s US Magazine.
That’s because we here at FITSNews are all Old Testament gals with 180 IQs who in addition to curing cancer, setting intercollegiate field hockey records and getting Beyonce and the girls all toned up for Dreamgirls, also happen to be unafraid to express ourselves sexually within the confines of Biblically-sanctioned monogamy.
But that is neither here nor there, and we are about to have to buy our main idea an extra scoop of Mint Chocolate Chip if we do not hurry up and get to the point.
And our point would be this story in US Magazine that features the following headline “BRITNEY ADOPTS NEW PUPPY” and the following quote “Spears paid $3,200 for the tiny dog.”
Stop for a second, because if this isn’t one of C&C Music Factory’s “Things That Make You Go Hmmm,” we don’t know what is.
Having had some experience in working to facilitate animal adoptions here, here and here, we can assure you that Britney Spears dropping three large ones on a pure-bred “tea-cup apple head chihuahua” is not adoption.
It is, however, what most people consider a major purchase.
We’re going overlook (for now) the fact that Brit is calling this rodent “Snow White,” or that Brit, Snow White and Sean Preston walked out of the pet adoption agency store with a dude that looks every bit as wigger as K-Fed, or that this is like Brit’s fourth Chihuahua in three years (seriously Britney, what happened to Lucky, Lacy and Bit Bit)?
No friends, we are going to use this opportunity to encourage you to visit SQ Rescue again and take a look at the dogs they have available for real adoption.
