SLUGGER NOW SAYS BANNED AMPHETAMINES DID NOT COME FROM TEAMMATE’S LOCKER

FITSNews – January 12, 2007 - What’s left of San Francisco Giants’ slugger Barry Bonds‘ credibility took another hit yesterday evening.

You can read the whole story here, but the “Bill Clinton of Baseball” got caught in another lie, this one allegedly involving the placement of blame onto a teammate’s shoulders after Bonds reportedly failed a drug test.

Just 22 home runs shy of Hank Aaron’s all-time record, Bonds has tentatively agreed to a one-year, $16 million contract with the Giants for the 2007 season. Negotiations are still ongoing, however, to determine (among other things) what happens to that contract if Bonds is indicted by the grand jury currently investigating him for perjury.

The sad thing here is that Bonds will probably get off scot free and go on to “break” Aaron’s record this year, that is if you want to count cheating as breaking a record. Which we do not.
