John Edwards

ONLY ONE OUT OF FIFTEEN PATRONS AT LOCAL ARBY’S HAVE EVEN HEARD OF FORMER VICE-PRESIDENTIAL NOMINEE

FITSNews - December 28, 2006 - John Edwards may be banking on all that name ID he earned as John Kerry’s running mate two years ago, but he clearly has some work to do in Pell City, Alabama.

The former North Carolina Senator, who announced his candidacy for the Presidency on the Today show this morning, was correctly identified as a former Vice Presidential nominee by just one out of fifteen patrons at Pell City’s Arby’s restaurant.

Washington Post blogger extraordinaire Chris Cillizza has some interesting observations in this article as to whether or not the timing of Edwards’ announcement will help with that problem.

Of course, FITSNews’ informal Edwards’ research did result in one of the days most humorous exchanges.

“Please don’t make our town look bad,” the Pell City Arby’s manager pleaded with Sic Willie.

His reply?

“Relax Ma’am. I’m from South Carolina.”
