GAMECOCKS TAKE ON HOUSTON IN LIBERTY BOWL, TIGERS CLASH WITH KENTUCKY IN MUSIC CITY BOWL

FITSNews – December 27, 2006 - Both of South Carolina’s major college football programs should win their bowl games Friday, oddsmakers in Las Vegas say.

The South Carolina Gamecocks (7-5) are 7-point favorites over the Conference USA Champion Houston Cougars (10-3) in the Memphis-based Liberty Bowl, while the Clemson Tigers (8-4) are 10-point favorites over the Kentucky Wildcats (7-5) in the Music City Bowl, which will be held in Nashville.

Sic Willie and the FITS Girls are hitting the road for Memphis at the ass-crack of dawn tomorrow, so look for frequent updates from us at various Cracker Barrels (or is it Crackers Barrel) along the way.

Just kidding, Cracker Barrel scares us.

If you’re not making the trip, both games will be televised nationally on ESPN HD Friday, starting with Clemson-Kentucky at 1:00 p.m. ET and Carolina-Houston at 4:30 ET.

And those times are actually correct, unlike when The State newspaper missed the Carolina-Princeton basketball tipoff time by an hour last week.
