So Is Tony Romo Dating Carrie Underwood Now?

FITSNews – December 25, 2006 - And you thought keeping track of the NFL’s thousand-and-one different playoff scenarios was confusing.
Try sorting out the dating life of Dallas Cowboys’ quarterback Tony Romo.
Romo, who everybody assumed was still dating singer Jessica Simpson, was seen acting awfully friendly with country music star and former American Idol winner Carrie Underwood just prior to the kickoff of today’s NFC East showdown between Romo’s Dallas Cowboys and the Philadelphia Eagles.
The pair’s pre-game canoodling was highlighted extensively during NBC’s telecast of the game. In fact, it even prompted TV analyst and former Oakland Raiders’ head coach John Madden to reminesce about his days as a head coach back in the ’70s and what he would have done had he witnessed such on-field fraternization prior to such an important game.
“I would have said – Hey, what the heck’s going on here?” Madden said.
And we thought Dallas coach Bill Parcells was old school.
UPDATE – Madden must still know what he’s talking about after all these years because whatever Romo was thinking about Monday night, it sure wasn’t football. He looked positively awful in the Cowboys’ 23-7 loss to the Eagles, throwing for a season-low 142 yards with one touchdown pass and two interceptions.

I think Carrie was even in Romo’s box during the game. If they play the Seahawks in the playoffs I sure hope Carrie comes to that game too so Romo plays like crap.
